LEAD EDUCATION AND PARTNERSHIP CONSULTANT

The Commonwealth Education Trust

For 3 years, I have freelanced for The Commonwealth Education Trust, an ed-tech NGO providing online professional development to teachers in under-resourced settings through their digital platform, Teach2030. Having begun as a volunteer, I have been promoted 3 times.  â€‹

EDUCATION CONTENT CREATOR

For a partner, UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organisation), I co-wrote a guide on digital teacher professional development. This has been rolled out across the entire education system of Liberia.

Most recently, for the Commonwealth of Learning, I have led the partnership in which I reviewed the teaching standards for the Seychelles and wrote an implementation plan for school-based teacher professional development that will be cascaded nationally.

I write and deliver via the LMS:

- teacher professional development courses for those in under-resourced countries.

- live, interactive pedagogy workshops and post-event materials

- a scheme of work on learning poverty

- blogs.

PARTNERSHIP PROGRAMME

I re-designed the international and national partnership programmes, materials and brochures to maximise learning outcomes and fundraising opportunities. These aim to establish connections worldwide and encourage UK students to become global citizens.

I lead all partnerships. These consist of international NGOS, UK schools and corporate companies.

MANAGER

I remotely lead a team of education specialists and volunteers.

DATA ANALYSIS

I analyse feedback and implement changes into both the courses and the interactive activities, designing uniquely contextualised opportunities for learners. I problem solve incoming queries from the Teach2030 audience, collating information and contacting many for further details, including the significant partners. With all this, I improve the product and create content for social media.

Charity Consultant: Testimonials

Alex is one of the most reliable and professional people I have worked with - when she says she is going to do something, it gets done, and to a high standard, which makes working with her a joy! She works well in a team, listening to and suggesting new ideas or a change of direction, and is also highly efficient when working independently. Her years of experience as a teacher and tutor are clear to see when discussing education, yet she is always ready to learn and develop her skillset further. I was lucky to both work with, and learn from, Alex, and hope to do so again!
